Malouke Kuiper is a Ph.D. candidate in the field of Psychology and Law, focusing on law and human behavior at the Faculty of Law, University of Amsterdam.


In 2017, she received a bachelor degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Amsterdam with an extra minor in Forensic Criminology.

In 2018, she received her master degree in Legal Psychology from Maastricht University. 


In her current PhD research, she focuses on the relationship between social scientific empirical research and law, and the translation of social scientific research into criminal justice policy. During her PhD, she was a visiting scholar at UC Irvine, Center for Psychology and Law from April to June 2022. 


During the COVID-19 pandemic, Malouke was part of a research project on compliance with mitigation measures in four different regions: Unites States of America, United Kingdom, The Netherlands and Israel. See the publication page for the research papers. 


Malouke has also multiple years of experience in academic teaching. She started as a Tutor in the first year of the bachelor Psychology at Erasmus University Rotterdam. During her PhD, she taught the course "Law and Human Behavior" in the first year of the bachelor Law, and supervised several bachelor theses, and was invited to be a guest lecture in different courses. 


She is also Secretary of the Board of the Centre for Organisational Integrity, where she also acts as a lecturer in the Integrity Management Course.
